Accessing Tasks as the 'Reviewer'

Reviewers are users added to the task who are responsible for evaluating the response provided by the assignees. If added, evaluation by reviewers is a pre-requisite prior to completion.

Finding Tasks that you've been added to as the 'Reviewer'

You can access tasks that you've been added as the reviewer from the learner view as well as the admin or manager view. Here's how you can find your tasks on Learn:

  • From the Learner's view: Click on "Tasks" from the top navigation bar.
You'll be taken to your Tasks page where you'll see all Tasks that you've been added to.
Click on the "Reviewing" tab on this page and you'll then see a list of all the tasks where you're the reviewer.

  • From the Manager's or Admin's view: Click on "Tasks" from the top navigation bar.
You'll be taken to the Tasks page which will have two tabs: "All Tasks" and "My Tasks". Click on "My Tasks".
Click on the "Reviewing" tab on this page and you'll then see a list of all the tasks where you're the reviewer.

Interacting with Tasks as the 'Reviewer'

From the above page, you can view and comment on the Tasks of all the users to which you're added as the reviewer. You can also review the tasks that are "in review" and available for you to review by providing a score, adding feedback, and updating the status of the tasks or subtasks.
Here's how you can perform those actions:

  • On the "Reviewing" tab of the My Tasks page (or the "Tasks" page from the learner's view), you'll see Tasks that you've been added to.
    • You can expand the Task and view all the users whose tasks or subtasks are in-review and available for you to review.
    • You can click on the Task and see all the users who the Task is assigned and view their individual progresses by clicking the "View Task" button.
  • When you click on the "View Task" button from either of the above options, you'll be taken to the corresponding user's Task page. Here, you'll see the user's version of the Task and the progress, responses, statuses, and activity updates that have been made for their assignment. If the Task has a subtask, click on one that's in-review.
  • Once you open a subtask that's in-review or if the Task overall is in-review, then you'll be able to update the status of the Task/Subtask as the reviewer after evaluating the response of the assignee.
    • Click on the Status dropdown and, either change it from "Completed" if you find the response from the assignee satisfactory, or to "In progress (Rework)" if you find it inadequate.
    • If the Task has a scoring component enabled, you'll be required to provide a score when you're changing the status of the task to "completed".
    • Click on the Notes icon to add feedback. (optional) You can use this to provide the assignee qualitative inputs that they can work on when resubmitting the subtask/task or for future reference when completing the task. This can also be used to give them visibility on why a certain score was provided.
  • Click on "Update" to incorporate the above changes.
The Task or subtask will be updated as per your inputs.
You will also see the reviews that other reviewers (if any) provided to the assignee
for the submission that you reviewed.

In addition to reviewing tasks, you can add comments and track all activity that has occurred from the comments and activist section on the left of all the tasks and subtasks where you're added as the reviewer.
