Course Assessment Settings

Course Assessment Settings

Description: In this article, you’ll learn how assessment settings allow admins to define how learners complete a course by configuring parameters like passing scores, attempt limits etc. These settings can be managed during course creation or while editing both draft and published course

Role: All Admins and Primary Admins

Benefits:

  • Set Clear Expectations: Passing criteria show learners the score needed to finish the course.

  • Offer Flexibility: Making assessments optional lets learners complete the course without taking the test.

  • Track Progress: Admins can monitor learners to ensure assessments are done correctly.

  • Increase Completion Rates: Clear rules and fewer attempts can lead to more learners finishing the course.

Below are the settings available:

1. Passing Criteria: This entails setting a minimum percentage for the learners to pass.

2. Fix Number of Attempts: This option allows you to limit the number of attempts for a particular assessment if the learner does not pass.

3. Make Assessment Optional: This function enables the learner to choose to skip the assessment to complete the course.

4. Complete by Order: When this option is disabled, learners will be free to jump between questions and view previously attempted questions.

5. Manager Evaluation: If this is enabled it will allow managers to evaluate their reportee’s assessment.
