Reporting Managers


A Reporting Manager is a privilege that certain users can be provided on Auzmor Learn. This article will help you understand what reporting managers can do, which users can be assigned as a Reporting Manager, and how to actually assign a Reporting Manager to users.

What reporting managers can do?

Reporting Managers have all the capabilities that are available for a manager role with the key difference being that their workflows cater to managing the Reportees assigned to them on Learn. Here’s what Reporting Managers can do on Learn:

  1. Trainings
    1. Reporting Managers can assign training to their Reportees.
    2. Reporting Managers can evaluate the assessment submissions of their assigned Reportees if allowed at the training level.
  2. Tasks
    1. Reporting Managers can create and assign tasks to their assigned Reportees.
    2. Reporting Managers can also view tasks assigned to their Reportees.
    3. Reporting Managers can be added as Reviewer/Viewer to the tasks.
  3. People
    1. Reporting Managers can view the list of their assigned Reportees by filtering the user list.
    2. Reporting Managers can view the list of all teams their Reportees are part of on the user profile page.
  4. Analytics
    1. Reporting Managers can view the Insights and Reports of their Reportees.

Who can be assigned as a Reporting manager?

Users with the following roles within the organization are eligible to be assigned as reporting managers for anyone in the organization:
  1. The Primary Admin
  2. All Admins
  3. All Managers

Who can assign a Reporting Manager?

Only the Primary admin and Admin will be able to assign Reporting Managers to users.

Note: Reporting Managers can be assigned to users only from the default organization of that user. The default organization of the user is the branch on Auzmor Learn to which the user is first onboarded.

How to assign a Reporting Manager to Users

A Reporting Manager can be assigned a user by many ways. As an admin or the primary admin, you could do any of the following:
  1. Add a reporting manager from the user's profile
  2. Add reportees from the user's profile
  3. Add the reporting manager when inviting users in the organization
Lets take a look at the steps to do each of the above if you're the admin or the primary admin.

Add reportees from the user's profile

  1. Open the profile of a user for whom you want to add reportees.
    Make sure the user is either an admin, a manager or the primary admin.
  2. You will find the Reportee tab on the profile of a user if they're. Click on the Add button. You will see a list of users.
  3. Select all the users who you want to be reporting to the user whose profile you've opened and click on "Assign" to confirm.
You'll see that the selected users have been added as reportees under the 'Reportee' tab of the user whose profile you opened.

Add a reporting manager from the user's profile

  1. Open the profile of a user for whom you want assign a reporting manager.
    If the user doesn't already have a Reporting Manager assigned to them, you will find an Reporting Manager field below their profile picture as blank. You'll also see an option to assign on to them.
  2. Click on 'Assign'.
    You will see a list of all users eligible to be assigned as that user's Reporting Manager.
  3. Select the user you want to assign as the reporting manager and click on 'Assign' to confirm.
You'll see that the selected user be depicted as the Reporting Manager for that user. You will also be able to edit or remove the reporting manager for the user by clicking on the 3 dots-menu adjacent to the Reporting Manager's details.

Add the reporting manager when inviting users in the organization

  1. While Inviting new users to the organization, you will find an option to add the Reporting Manager for each user being invited.
  2. Select Reporting Manager from the dropdown list for each user that you want to assign one to.
Admin can also assign a reporting manager to the user while bulk uploading.
