Changing Email/Username and Password of Users

There are moments when Admins need to log in access profiles of other Learners in the LMS. It is now possible to update password, email and usernames of your Users. This would have to be router through the Admin and Primary Admin (Account Owner).

Please note : Admins can only update password of Learners and Managers in the LMS. Primary Admin (Account owner) is the only user who can update passwords of other Admins and nobody can change the Primary Admins password.

For Primary Administrator

Changing Password

As the account owner you can update anyone's Password of in the LMS, here are the steps to perform this action:

  1. Log in to Learn LMS and go to (1) People tab, under "Individuals" look for a user whose password needs changing. Click (2) View Profile by hovering over the users name to go to their Profile.mceclip4.png
  2. (3) Click the mceclip1.pngicon on the left and (4) select "Change Password". (5) Enter the new password in both the fields and click (6) "Confirm"mceclip5.pngmceclip6.png

Please note Learners will be notified that their password has been updated. They are expected to use the Forgot Password option to reset their password or contact their Primary Admin/Admin for further help. 

Updating Username and Primary Email

As the account owner you can update email and username of anyone in the LMS, here are the steps to perform this action:

  1. Log in to Learn LMS and go to (1) People tab, under "Individuals" look for a user whose password needs changing. Click (2) View Profile by hovering over the users name to go to their Profile.mceclip4.png
  2. Hover over "Basic Details" to select the mceclip2.pngicon on the top right corner of the page. (3) Click the mceclip3.pngicon over "Username" or "Primary Email" to update them.mceclip7.png

    For Administrator

    Changing Password

    Admins can change passwords of all Managers and Learners but not of other Admins in the LMS, here are the steps to perform this action:

    1. Log in to Learn LMS and go to (1) People tab, under "Individuals" look for a user whose password needs changing. Click (2) View Profile by hovering over the users name to go to their Profile.mceclip4.png
    2. (3) Click the mceclip1.pngicon on the left and (4) select "Change Password". (5) Enter the new password in both the fields and click (6) "Confirm"mceclip5.pngmceclip6.png

    Please note Learners will be notified that their password has been updated. They are expected to use the Forgot Password option to reset their password or contact their Primary Admin/Admin for further help. 

    Updating Username and Primary Email

    As Admin you can update email and username of all Learners and Managers in the LMS but not of other Admins in the LMS, here are the steps to perform this action:

For Manager

Managers do not have permission to update Login Credentials of any user in the LMS.

 

For Learner

Learner do not have permission to update Login Credentials of any user in the LMS but can change their own password using the "Forgot Password" option.
