Marking Attendance for In-Person Sessions/ Events in Auzmor Learn

Roles: Admins/Learners


Description: In this article, you’ll learn how to mark attendance for in-person sessions in Auzmor Learn. Learners can mark their attendance by scanning a QR code, which redirects them to a screen where they can confirm their attendance for the session.

Benefits:

  • Easy Attendance Tracking: Learners can quickly mark their attendance by simply scanning a QR code, eliminating manual tracking.

  • Flexible Check-in: Allows learners to mark attendance within a defined time window, ensuring a smooth and timely check-in experience.

Admins:

Step-by-Step Guide:
You may refer to the screenshots below for a step-by-step guide on how to mark attendance for in-person sessions.

Step 1: Log in to the LMS and navigate to Events.



Step 2:
Navigate to the respective event.

Step 3: Go to the in-person session.





Step 4: Click on the three dots on the right and select Edit Session.





Step 5: Navigate to Settings.




Step 6: Go to Attendance and enable Allow learners to mark attendance.



Step 7: You can also set a buffer window by enabling Check-in Opens option and selecting the number of minutes before the session start time when learners can begin marking their attendance. [Optional]


Example: If the session is scheduled for 9:00 AM and you enable this setting with a 15-minute window, learners will be able to start marking attendance from 8:45 AM.





Step 8: Once the session goes live or when the check-in opens [Else it will show an error] , admins can navigate to the session, access the QR code, share the link to the learners so they can scan it to mark their attendance.




Note:
Similarly, admins can enable attendance settings while creating a new event session or editing existing upcoming sessions.

Learners:

Step 1:
Scan the shared QR code or click on the link shared by the Admins.




Step 2:
If the user is not logged in already , scanning the QR code will redirect them to the login page.








Step 3: Once signed in, learners will be redirected to the session details page, where they can mark the attendance by clicking on Confirm.


Step 4:
Once confirmed, they will see a confirmation message on the screen.




Note: Learners can also see the option to mark attendance on the upcoming session page once the session is live or check-in is open.
